Turkey Day

Cooper bagged his first turkey during the 09 youth turkey season. Grandpa AND Dad were so proud of him. Chandler was there with him also. It was an awesome day of hunting. Chandler got to see a tom and jake fight, Caleb shot a jake and I was there for it all! Doesn't get any better than that.

MX Day

The perfect day! Motocross with the family. A ride day at Possum Hollow. Rusty and Tim where there also.

Coop and Chics

Cooper is so proud of the Buffs. There are only 3 left out of the 24 that my mom ordered. Lesson here is that you have to close the chicken coop door "BEFORE" a varmit enters the coop NOT after!!

Tractor

Here are my "helpers" getting the round bales put in the barn.

Chloe and Bottle

Here is Chloe taking the bottle to go feed her new baby calf.
The bottle is as big as she is!

Garden

The kids helping mom in the garden...our first garden at our new farm!

The Family

Here is the family, Chandler, Cooper, Kidron, Chloe from oldest to youngest....Rhonda and I as well. Easter of 09 at Grandma Sue's Farm

House and Barn

This is our new home as of April 2009. Little house big Barn!
The story of how God worked it out for us to live here....it all started in 2004, while property hunting with good friends, Greg and Angie. We were looking at the property next door about a 120 acres they we were talking about buying and splitting and then build a couple of houses. When we were leaving that property I noticed the little house and red barn and said that is the place we need! Well a few years later, I saw it for sale. I kept the ad on my desk for a couple of weeks and I could not get it out of my mind. So I shared the ad with Rhonda and she was excited and said let's go drive by it. So we did. When we got to the property there was a suv in the drive....turns out it was the real estate agent. They had just sold it! So in 2008, I just could not get this place out of my head. I had this feeling that I needed to drive by and ask the owner to sell it to me. I told Rhonda I was going to go put a note on the door saying I wanted to buy it.
Our anniversery in 2008, we drove by....it was for sale! We couldn't believe it. We stopped in the drive and prayed for God to open doors....well he literally did. We were peeking in the windows and I tried the door and it was OPEN. We walked around inside and checked it out. We even thought the bathroom had a good feel to it. So we ended up writing a contract on it in the fall of 08. However, it was not to be. It all fell apart over $1500! Part of our issue was we owned a rental property in Clever that we needed to get rid of but the owner would not take it as a partial trade. Well, in the spring of '09 the place was still for sale and I talked with the owner direct. I told him I would not talk to his snake oil salesman agent. To make a long story a bit shorter, God's hand was in it this time, the owner took the rental property in on trade! he dropped the price and we had a great interest rate! So it all fell into place we bought it, sold our Bennett Street house (another God story) and moved!
